Peskov: Putin to appraise Russia’s economic development at SPIEF
MOSCOW, Jun 4 (PRIME) -- President Vladimir Putin will give a traditional appraisal of Russia’s economic development in his speech at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Friday, as broadcasted by Channel One Russia.
“The fact that there was no (forum) last year makes us feel that the participants have missed it badly… Sceptics forecasted less business participants, but the forum is still very popular and full,” Peskov said.
“Putin will give a traditional appraisal of the current social and economic development stage and the past stage. We will hear what we have weathered, which consequences we have now, and the way we treat them,” he added.
Putin will speak during a plenary session at 14:00 Moscow time.
